ABBOTTSTOWN – Jo A. (Reed) Pessognelli, 79, entered into rest at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Pappus House. 

Born January 17, 1947 in York, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and June (Mason) Reed.

Jo had worked as an LPN for Margaret E. Moul Home in York.  She enjoyed gardening and going to Bethany Beach, DE.  She also loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

She is survived by her daughters, Jo Christine Neiman of Abbottstown and Andrea D. Kerr of Spring Grove; two grandchildren, Logan Ramsey and husband, Mitchell and Dakota Neiman; great grandchild, Lincoln Ramsey; five siblings, Charles Reed and wife, Deborah of Dover, Ethel Weeks and husband, David and Jessica Kissinger, wife of the late Phillip, all of Georgia, Benjamin Reed and wife, Daisy of Florida and James Reed and wife, Sarah of Gettysburg; and her beloved dog, Sadie.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jo’s funeral at 1 p.m. and the viewing from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Emig Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 47 N. Queen St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.  Officiating will be the Rev. Salvatore Buonocore, pastor of Dover Bethany Global Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pappus House, 66 Big Mount Rd., Thomasville, PA 17364.
